How to convert VHS Tape in AVI un video studio 7

Hi There

I have a video/tv combo and want convert a vhs tape to dvd. Now I have an ATI All in wonder video card. I have Yellow video connection going in the ATI Box and the cable from the video box to the graphics card.

However when I try capture the vhs tape in VS 7 it cannot find a connection.

Question 1 Can you convert VHS tape in VS 7

Hi

From the capture window select the ‘Options Cog Wheel’

Select ‘Capture Video Property Settings’

Select your TV system Pal / Ntsc
Select ‘input source Composite

The cables you are using:-

Yellow---Video

Red / White—Audio

Thanks for the advice unfortunatley that option is greyed out

You mean the Options Cog is greyed out????????????????

It may be the 'Capture plug-in' that is selected wrong.

File / Change Capture Plug-in

Select Ulead Direct show for Avi Capture

Select Ulead Mpeg Capture Plug-in for mpeg capture.

The capture format box should now be accessable.

You should also see ATI Rage theatre or something like that in the Source box.
