Hi,
We are fairly new to Video Pro X3, and would be most appreciative of any help you can offer.
Using Corel Video Pro X3, we inserted some still images into a video that we were editing, and we also took some snapshots of the video and edited them into other parts of the video. When we viewed it and saved it, the snapshots and still images were all the same size as the other video frames. We had also added separate audio clips to the still images and snapshots.
When we saved the project and viewed the finished product in Corel, the snapshots and images that we had added were same frame size as the rest of the video. However, when we used the share to YouTube option and then uploaded it to YouTube, the frames of all the snapshots and images had shrunk. (Here is the video loaded to YouTube--the yawing dog in the first 20 seconds is an example--it looked full sized while in Corel: http://www.youtube.com/user/guidetogettingiton )
Thanks so very much in advance for your advice.

Ron,
I'm not sure what kind of extra info you need, but am happy to supply it if you can be specific. We can't find anything about this.
The problem is that it looks fine while in Corel--fits in the screen full size. The problem only shows up when we use the Corel "upload to YouTube" sharing option. Only after it is done in a mpg4 format do the snapshots appear at reduced size.

The finer detail is very important the more so when still and video clips are mixed.

Re: Snap Shots Shrink upon YouTube Share
I believe the relevant issue is that it all looked fine while saved in Corel Video Pro. The snap shots were taken from the video that looks fine in Corel Video Pro. It was only when the final project was saved in an mpg4 format that we could see any differences.
Is there some setting in Corel Video Pro that will allow us to see where these problems exist BEFORE converting the final project to mpg4?
Why would an entire project look perfectly normal in Corel Video Pro, but then the snapshots suddenly shrink when in mpg4?
We've not been able to find answers to this in the support materials that Corel provides.

Re: Snap Shots Shrink upon YouTube Share
We're looking for the properties of your project, properties of any video files included in your project, and then finally the settings used when rendering your project to a video file. If you also were placing the photos on an overlay track, are you using Fit to Screen or Keep aspect ratio?
Just making a wild guess here, try clearing the check beside Use non-pixel rendering, found by pressing the Options button, in the Save as dialog.

Re: Snap Shots Shrink upon YouTube Share
We are trying to help, but we need your help too. Please provide the requested info from the link that both Ron and John provided. The properties of the project and ALL the clips (video, photo, audio, etc.) are important and could have an influence on your project. We are fairly new to Video Pro X3, and would be most appreciative of any help you can offer.
As Ron says, without this relevant info we can only offer wild guesses.

Rendering using Non Square Pixels can cause some problems with some types of file destined for the internet.Ron P. wrote: Just making a wild guess here, try clearing the check beside Use non-pixel rendering, found by pressing the Options button, in the Save as dialog.
I know when creating Flv that extra black borders are created, un-checking this option does cure this anomaly. I have also seen misaligned images, maybe yours drops into this group.
So try as Ron (got it right) says, disable Non-square Pixel Rendering and give it a go.
