When I installed PSP X, I specified the location for user files as "E:\Documents\PSP Files". Note the removal of "My" from "My PSP Files".
When launching PSP X, I get an error message that it cannot find "E:\Documents\My PSP Files". It also says to reconfigure file locations via preferences. The thing is, all of the preferences have the intended "E:\Documents\PSP Files" location, and my user files actually work correctly from there. I've searched both the registry and filesystem for where it's getting the "My PSP Files" from, and cannot find it.
I know I got this working before, because my backup of the Documents folder has only the "PSP Files" directory. Perhaps I have to let it install in the default location, and then rename all the file locations afterward.
Again, the installation works, including access to all of my user files in "PSP Files". I'm just trying to get rid of the error message about it not being able to find a folder it shouldn't be looking for in the first place.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Renaming "My PSP Files"
The installer did not make the change you wanted but added My psp. You would need to edit their registry so that the installer that checks for missing files finds the correct one or rename the PSP files to My Psp Files. For your information windows 7 does not have My Documents just Documents Which is on my D drive But X3 does not allow you to change the location at install time so added a My documents folder with the My Psp Files in it and Its not the only App that does that so in the end I moved all my data into the my documents folder. It was the easy way.

Re: Renaming "My PSP Files"
Thanks Trev.
I initially couldn't find the right key, but a bit better searching discovered it in
HKCU/Software/Corel/Global/PSP10DefaultWrite
Interestingly, there was a key right next to that one except labeled PSP9DefaultWrite, and this one had the correct path name. (As were all of the File Locations paths). It's not leftover from a previous install, as this was a new installation on a fresh machine. Looks like a simple bug in their installer.
With X3 not allowing users to change the folder, it's a good thing 10 is working okay for me. It's sad when companies try to impose their own will, and disrespect the varying needs and wishes of their customers.
