Done with VS Pro X3

Post by Ron P. »

Been working on my home video I shot for Independence Day. Don't worry I will not post that finished product, having you watch fireworks go pop, pop. What sparked this short clip, was a close friend of mine, directed me to Martina McBride's video of Independence Day. I've always loved that song, and she is from Kansas. Anyway this is what I've come up with for a leader or intro for my home movie.

Used VideStudio Pro X3, and Bluff Titler.

Thanks Jeff...:)

Oh I've already been sent an email from YouTube, concerning "copyright" issues.. that being the excerpt from McBride's song. I'll leave it up for a while to see if they take it down or not. I had an idea when I uploaded it that issue may surface...

You know, I have to agree with that poster a few weeks ago that said that including popular music in her videos actually makes people take notice of the songs. In your case, I had never heard that song before. But because of your video I might seek it out and purchase it from iTunes to use it in something. While I agree with copyright rights, some common sense must be used. As in your case, your are not selling your video. The copyright holder should be glad the song is being introduced to new listeners and (potential) customers. Damn lawyers! (sorry Ken!)

That song, is actually about domestic abuse. That's just the chorus, the verses talk about a little girl witnessing the abuse her mother takes from her drunk father. The video I took the song from is on YouTube..

I became familiar with the song through Hannity's radio talk show. He uses it as an opener..
