X4 - is it coming soon ?

wHEN DID x3 come outAND WHAT IS THE TYPICAL gap between versions ?

X3 is a bit of a mess as far as I can tell and Corel can't be selling many copies, or there must be refunding a high proportion of them. If they released x4 and it was stable and had a integrated DVD creation function I would have thought they could sell lots. I am using a trial version of X3 but I am getting nowhere fast.

X3 was released earlier this year, I would not expect a new version until 2011 or even 2012.
That is not to say that Corel will not be developing X3 further, we may see further service packs before a new version.

Except for the original authoring module (DVD Factory 2010), which was a mess and was replaced with MovieFactory 7 SE, X3 works fine for me.
