I created mpg movies from Video Studio PRO X3 in NTCS format DVD 16:9 Dolby 5.1 format.
Sucessfully created menu items and burned to a dvd+R disc.
DVD player reads the disc as a DVD-video.
It displays the menu items and shows the videos in the menu items as the screen is displayed.
When I select a menu item, it moves to the first frame of the video and does not play any further in the video.
The display on the player indicates "MENU"
The mpg files used, are slideshows of photos and videos.
I can move back to the very top menu of the DVD player and hit play and it runs the first menu item perfectly but not via the menu template.
The display on the player displays 1-#### as it should display for the first menu item.
From reading the forum, I changed the project to format the video and to not loop when finished.
Re-burned a DVD but same thing happens.
I can select a different menu items and the same thing happens.
It displays the first frame and the player display indicates "MENU"
I try select/play/return with no effect.
Appreciate your thoughts on how to resolve
MF7 Selected menu item does not play

Re: MF7 Selected menu item does not play
This is an update...
I still am not able to use the menus that were created to play my movie selections on the DVD.
I tried different movie formats but the same problem.
My player is a Pioneer DV-400V dvd player.
As a work around I am able to use the player functionality to build a manual list of movies to play.
It plays each video without any problems.
Seems the player does not understand the menu item code.
The dvd's play fine on 2 other players I have tried. One was an older Sony and the other a new Samsung bluray.
