RE-ACTIVATION OF WIN DVD PLATINUM AFTER REFORMAT OF HD

Post by Richard B »

My corel account does not have the last 4 digits of my old ( 2 years ago and more ) credit card. Thus i cannot re-activate win dvd 8 after a fresh download - the link was provided two days ago by corel support however they said i ought to upgrade to win dvd 10 pro when i said i was unable to activate my product - i was dismayed i don't want to - i simply want to re-activate my win dvd platinum, its cool and does the job i need. I have looked everywhere for records of my old card with no success - the original card has been chopped up and the corel purchase email was wiped out in outlook when my hd went down. Its a real problem.

Having researched the issue i found these two corel links which kind of helped but then didn't since my product is no longer supported and thus in my account under 'get serial' nothing exists, in fact it doesn't even show up. I am at a loss can any one help me ? In fact it was corel who told me to join the forum and ask - i just cannot believe i cannot activate my wiwn dvd 8 - i got my nero re-downloaded and pdf without any psychodrama at all, - just corel make life difficult it seems. To use the last 4 digits of an old card is a variable prone to being lost surely there must be a way to get activated.
