A Question on Second Hard Drive

So I am running out of space on my hard drive and am looking at installing a second one, as recommended and used by just about everyone here.

I understand that all video files should go on the second drive but where should VS9 live, as installed on the first hard drive, re-install onto the second or it doesn't matter?

VS9 seems to be working well so I don't really want to uninstall and reinstall on the second drive - It it ain't broke don't fix it.

Keep the VS9 installed on the C: drive and move the working folder and preview folders under preferences to new folders on the new hard drive.

I just did what you are now planning.

The point is to have the program keep the heads on your C: drive busy telling the second HD heads what to do with the data. Instead of one set of heads doing both.

I've noticed a distinct difference.
