I wanted to capture video from my tv via composite/s-video, and use line in on my soundcard for audio.
In video properties/ audio, the only option I have is "MPEG Stream". (Greyed out)
I have Soundblaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series soundcard and I can't see it in audio properties and input source is is also greyed out.
I have newest device drivers from creative.
The onboard souncard is diabled in bios so that should not be interfering with the SB card.
Videocard is Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1300
Operating system: Windows 7 64bit
X2 No Audio Source Available

Re: X2 No Audio Source Available
It should have come with it's own capture software (Haupauge WinTV?).Videocard is Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1300
You are almost always better-off using the capture software that's specially made to work with the device. Once you have a digital file on your computer you can use the editing/DVD-authoring software of your choice.
Most of the Hauppauge cards have their own audio input for use when you're capturing composite video. Or if you're capturing broadcast, the audio should be automatically captured along with the video.I have Soundblaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series soundcard and I can't see it in audio properties and input source is is also greyed out.

I bought it used and it came without cd and manual.DVDDoug wrote:It should have come with it's own capture software (Haupauge WinTV?).Videocard is Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1300

Haupauge WinTv capture software is not available for free on their website and surprisingly not sold via download, but I have the cd on order and it should be here soon
Anyway I found out that I can connect the audio through a line in connector on the back panel on capture card
