Hi, I've been using PI 12 for about four years, and just started using PI X3. I've been going through the excellent printed manual that came with PI12, and on page 206 it says:
"The Material dialog box is where you bring a text or path object to life...
Click Material on the Attribute Toolbar while using either the Text or Path tools, to open the Material dialog box."
I can't see 'Material' anywhere on my Attribute Toolbar. The only place I can see Material is in the EasyPalette, but I can't find "Smooth Spine" there, which is what I am looking for.
I must say that the manual is very poor (to put it mildly) in one vital aspect: it doesn't show you what an option actually looks like, no where you might find it, it just gives you its name in bold, and expects you to somehow know where it should be, which makes learning really difficult.
I know that the Smooth Spine option is there (at least, it was in PI 12) because I remember using it several years ago.
Where is the 'Material' dialog box?
Re: Where is the 'Material' dialog box?
It's okay, I've found it. It's in a rather unimpressive icon, which is called "Adjust Material Options", which is indeed on the Attritube Toolbar.
As you can see from what I typed above, the manual doesn't actually say "Click on the ICON called "Adjust Material Options".
