File format to save video made in Corel Videostudio so tha

Post by alan »

Windows 7 & V.S. XP2
Canon HG10 Camcorder.

Info. from You Tube forum.
File format to save video made in Corel Videostudio so that it uploads to Youtube in HD?

I've been making movies with my Corel VideoStudio software and a regular FLIP video camera, and uploading them to YouTube with no problem. I now have a new FLIP ultra HD and can't figure out in which format to save the videos in Corel so that they upload and display in HD on YouTube. I've tried:

HDV 1080i-60i (for HDV) --Youtube failed to recognize file format
HDV 1080i-60i (for PC) -- Youtube failed to recognize file format
iPod mpeg-4 (640 x 480) -- uploads, but not in HD

Could anyone who uses Corel and an HD Flip tell me *exactly* in what format (from those available in Corel) to save my video? I saw the YouTube help page on this topic, but what it said to use didn't match exactly what Corel has to choose from
I'd have to suggest posting in a Corel public user forum, surely someone else has this issue -- and possibly has resolved it.
Can any one assist please?

If you go to You Tube and take the recommended details for HD then in VS go to Share, Create Video File and choose "Custom" you can set the parameters there. It would be helpful if you copied your source file details here. We can then offer better advice. Right click a clip in your timeline or library and click "Properties" Copy all the details here!
