Ok so I have a Canon XL2 & GL2 for cameras.

Xtra Equipment - 15ft Camera Crane.
2 - 500 Watt Lights.
Sturdy Tripod w / Dolly
Onboard lights, lenses. Wirless mics.
Poor man Steady Cam

Coming soon -
Softbox light kit
Boom Mic's
Maybe prof stedicam rig.

Script 80% done will be finished end of next week

Shoot dates begin mid / end of Aug.

Should take 3 to 4 weekends to shoot.

Do i edit in Pro 3x? or should I move on to Avid or Sony Vegas 9?

This is one of my many concerns. Has anyone done a real good movie with VS? Any and all advice etc bring it on.

You use VS. You know what its capabilities are. If it works for you now what makes you think it won't work when making "a real good movie", whatever that is?

Unless you are going to be using some kind of special effect that VS can't handle I don't know why VS wouldn't be up to the job.

An edit is an edit, as far as I am concerned. The price of the software doesn't change that much. The real talent is in front of the lens and behind the viewfinder.
