NewBlueFX- key frames update - Corel videostudio Pro X2

Hello-
I was wondering if anyone could help me, who might have had the same problem I'm having.
I received an update from NewBlueFX for putting keyframes into their filters - When I bought my Corel Videostudio Pro X2, the NewBlueFX film effects package came with it - but when I downloaded the file, (putting in program files, then adding a path to the Corel folder) - and pulled up the program, no keyframes showed in those filters.
Has anyone had this problem when the update email came (back in February)?- I tried then, gave up, but am trying again now).
Is it because it was a free bonus package that came with Corel Videostudio (when I bought it) that I now can't get updates (since I didn't "purchase" that package from NewBlueFX, as it says below, and instead it came free)??
Did anyone else get it free (with your program) and it worked for you?? If so, PLEASE tell me how.
