Bluray in DVD Factory 2010 Pro
Video Studio itself works perfect after the last service pack. Unfortunately, the "built-in DVD Factory Pro 2010" less.
By burning Bluray discs, I am having three repeating problems:
- When I choose 'normalize the sound', sound of the AVCHD video disappears on disc (video converted to MPEG2), sound of menu and MPEG2 "leader/opener" are played well.
- When I add chapters I get direct "burn failed" while converting starts
- At the burned discs the button "jump further >>|" doesn't work, the "jump back |<<" button however works fine.
Is this a known problem and does anyone knows a solution? Thanks in advance.

The solution is to use the new program you have been given due to pressure from this Web Board.
DVD MovieFactory 7 SE.

Re: Bluray in DVD Factory 2010 Pro
Unfortunately DVD MovieFactory 7 SE does not fully comply. I bought VSX3 to edit and burn AVCHD with Dolby 5.1 sound. MF7SE doesn't support that sound, so the offered alternative is not complete suiteble to replace DVD Factory 2010 Pro.sjj1805 wrote:The solution is to use the new program you have been given due to pressure from this Web Board.

I also downloaded the MF-Pro version, but that one isn't released in Europe. Burned discs don't play in my Dolby surround set; according to the helpdesk because of differences in the codec in the version for America and Australia. For solutions they tell me to contact this forum instead of to help users to a complete working alternative (at least with the same features as sold) or confirming that the software isn't doing what it has to do.
So, I have to try to work with DVD Factory and hope there wille be a solution or trick ...

I tried to use 'DVD Factory Pro 2010' a dozen of times now but don't get it to work properly; I can't use several (basic) features without problems. The given solution 'by the preasure from the web board' is working very well, but isn't complete utalized to replace the version which came with VSX3: (for me) the main reason to buy VSX3 is the Dolby 5.1 authoring and export (DVD/Bluray).sjj1805 wrote:The solution is to use the new program you have been given due to pressure from this Web Board.

There are nowadays more camera's with 5.1 sound, so I think the given solution does not cover the needs. If DVD Movie Factory Pro (full version) was available for Europe I would buy it directly, but we don't have a working alternative overhere. The 'oversea-versions' don't work in Europe because of a specific codec.
Most important is that Corel delivers a good working product with specs as sold. Please, can somebody of the board with good contacts at Corel try to get a representative working alternative? The dutch helpdesk only refers to this webboard to get help ...
Thanks in advance!

To be honest with you Richard, that apparently doesn't do any good either. Please, can somebody of the board with good contacts at Corel try to get a representative working alternative?
I forwarded my post about the Normalize Audio feature not working to the person the Beta team worked closely with, and I haven't gotten so much as an acknowledgement of my message.

Re: Bluray in DVD Factory 2010 Pro
I thought I could trust a brand like Corel, to get a proved and complete user-program with serious service. So I'm afraid I have to search an alternative myself and have to try to get refund. Because of one unsolved issue only, what isn't solved but what I absolutly need most ...Black Lab wrote:To be honest with you Richard, that apparently doesn't do any good either.![]()

Re: Bluray in DVD Factory 2010 Pro
For the same reasons as Flevobird, I was trying to make a BD in DVDfactory2010Pro. After a lot of search and at least 4 crashes, I finally had something which looked fine.
I wanted to burn on a revritable Blue Ray, to test the output. This is not possible in Dvd factory (or I could not find the option). I had to format it with a third party program.
But, now, BD-RE acknowlegded, one crash further without to have been able to start a burn, and after have read what Flevobird has been writing, I think I am going to stop.

The blu-ray burner is doing well and the program (automatically, after approval) erases de BR-RE disk during the burning process runs, that’s no issue with me. The disk won't burn if normalize audio is selected and when chapters are set. Beside that the program makes also crashes spontaneously. The alternative program (MF7SE) is working well, but do miss my required 5.1 sound.
I want to go thru with the editing module, that is working very good now. So maybe I’ll use only another brand of disc authoring program. I’m testing one now with a very nice menu style …

Re: Bluray in DVD Factory 2010 Pro
Do you have an earlier version of VS? You can always edit in X3 then output in the earlier version.
