Split Audio and Save it.

Post by jimd »

I have a 14 minute DVD that I made of the pipe band that I play in. I want to isolate our signature tune and save it for future use. It is mpeg format.
I have split the audio and placed the particular tune in the music track and went to share, create audio file, and many more wrong ways but could not find the answer.
Please help. Thanks.

A quick search of the forum would have found you this recent topic which answers your question :-

do not split the audio from the video in the timeline - let VideoStudio do the work for you.

Thanks BrianCee. After I was unsuccessful with my project I went to the forum twice and typed in key words for my problem, no matches found were the answers. I spent at least an hour trying the wrong things on the forum before I made the post. Obviously I need to expand the areas that I looked in.
Thanks again for your help.

I agree with jimd the search facility in this version of phpBB forum is pretty poor. If you put in Save Audio File even with the "+" signs like "+Save+Audio+File" and choose to look in Video Studio you get the message "Words too common" and get no results. What other words could he use to get the answer to an audio problem like this?
I do appreciate that the Admins on our Forum have no control over what version of phpBB will be used as this is controlled by Corel but it does put a lot of newcomers off trying to use the Search Facility!

While most of the web board is far better than the old one, I agree that the search engine stinks..

I certainly agree about the search engine being lacking.
The key to my problem was, 'do not split the audio'. It was so simple it is embarrassing.
Thanks BrianCee.
