Audio Split

Post by sal »

First like to thank everyone that helped me on previous request.
The novice needs help again
I imported mp3 song from my files onto the music track with no video. So that I could practice editing the audio. I am having problems splitting the audio into two separate files. The reason is so I can use the movie audio in a section and then continue with the music track. The tutorials are good but don’t cover this very well.

Mike thanks
I don’t understand the first part of your answer (VO, audio mixer, slider R, L music track)
I highlighted the music track tried to leave it highlighted while I mark the area to split and the highlight shuts off, There is no way I can get the scissor to highlight & cut

Hi Sal,

Do you want to split channels? Put the MP3 in both VO and Music track and in the audio mixer, move the slider to the R in the VO track and to the L in the Music track.

If you want to cut the track, put it in the music track and use the scissors.
