Two questions about transitions

Post by perfection »

01. Do the Canopus and Hollywood Fx v 4.5.8 transitions that used to work with earl;ier versions of VS with an inserted vfx file still work with VS X3? Burger transition set do for sure!

02. Is there any way that one can rearrange the library of transitions into new groups otr rearranged groups? I ask this because I trialled a set of NewBlue transitions (3D explosions) and they did not create a group of their own. I can see them and have to identify them only in "show all" mode.

PS Are there ore transition packs apart fromNewBlue that i can purchase?

Thanks you for any help on these issues

Hollywood Gold FX 4 does work with VSX3.
VSX3 only creates a limited number of libraries, so even though you might not see a certain library, e.g. burger transitions, canapus, hollywood FX etc
Look in the "All" option to find them.

Though i am correctly registered etc I get an error saying "cannot start license tool program". I tried changing the compatibility mode but it was all in vain.

Is it because i am running the program on win 7 OS? te program worked perfectly under XP (Vista i never had long enough to try)

Correctly registered what? VideoStudio, Hollywod FX - I don't know which you are referring to

It helps to complete your profile so that we can see at a glance you are using Windows 7.

Though i correctly installed and registered Hollywood Fx pro 4.5.8 when accessing it through the transitions panel I get an error saying "cannot start license tool program". I tried changing the compatibility mode of all the HFx exe files but it did not work out

Could this be because I am running the program on win 7 (32 bit) OS (as my profile now shows)? The program (HFxX) worked perfectly under XP (Vista i have never tried)

I use XP even on my dual boot XP/Vista systems, only ever used the Beta of Win 7 and saw nothing that gives me reason to leave XP.
