Missing Chapter Menu on DVD

Post by coolcomfort »

I am a new Corel VS Pro X3 user on a trial download. I created a movie in VS and now want to create a DVD. As you know VS launches DVD Factory Pro 2010 when I click Share>Create Disc. I give my project a name, select a Style, create and Apply chapter information and proceed to Burn my DVD. Everything seems to work fine until I go to play the DVD on my laptop that uses HP's QuickPlay DVD player software. I am unable to view the chapter menu that I created in DVD Factory. I also tried it on my wife's MAC and got the same thing. My question is: am I failing to do something prior to clicking Burn that causes the chapter menu items to be Inaccessabe during playback?
Thanks :)

Welcome to the forums,

Here's some screenshots showing the process to add chapters in DVD Factory 2010.

Is that what you done? You did click Apply after adding your chapter(s)? If not, it will not apply them.

Thanks for your feedback. I did not use the Auto Add Chapters, but set them manually and did do "APPLY". Since the time I made my forum post, I decided to try another Style to see if using a different Style would change the outcome. It did. And I have burned 2 DVDs that play fine on our computers. Thank you very much for your help and information. :D
