Hi,
Will I have problems editing video if some of the video is shot at 30 fps and action shots are recorded at 60fps? Do I need to import the video shot at 60 fps in a separate folder and or keep them separate from the 30 fps segments for editing purposes? How do you get the final project properties to match the inputed video if they are different? I am planning on shooting most of the video at 30 fps but would like the action shots at a higher frame rate for slow motion etc. How is this accomplished, or is it no big deal? I want to know before I shoot all the video so I don't have a problem later. Thanks for your help.

Why not just shoot it all at 60 fps?

Re: Importing video shot at different FPS in VS Pro2
I was told by a video production company that it would be a mistake to shoot everything at 60 fps because it would make it much more difficult to edit. This caused me some concern, because I wanted to shoot the whole thing at 60fps so that my project settings would match the video settings. If I won't have any problems editing the video at 60fps that's exactly what I will do, if you recommend it. Also, how do you select 60fps in the project property settings menu when I start a new project? I only see settings for 30 fps:
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48000 Hz, Stereo
The box only shows a selection for 29.97. How do I get it to be compatible with the video I import shot at 60fps?? So that my project properties match my video properties? Thanks so much!

I would also like an answer to this last question.
Is it still the case that VSx3 does not support 60(50)fps?
The help file says:
When customizing project settings, it is recommended that you make the settings the same as the attributes of the video footage that will be captured to avoid distorting the video images and have smooth playback without jumping frames.
My original video is 1280 x 720 at 50fps (TV here is PAL), but the project options will not let me select anything above 720 x 576.
What do I do?
