Burning to DVD+R

Post by gordon_fan_24 »

My project was edited in VS7, and rendered to a MEPG-2 I used the next steps to create a DVD+RW and a DVD+R. The DVD+RW worked great, but the DVD+R would not burn. I go into MF3 and import the clip. Then I go through the menu setup. I get to the burning DVD screen, after telling it to create a DVD image file I try to burn the disc. On the DVD+R I get an error message telling me that there is no disc in drive when I know there is. Is MF3 compatible with +R's?

I don't have MF3 but I do have a SE version of it that I have used to burn +R disc (the main type disc I use) with no problem using a Sony burner. My guess would be that it is compatible based on my experience. Good luck.

I can reassure everybody: Since I have MF 3.0, I have burned only to DVD +R discs and never ever encountered any hick-ups during burning or on any stand-alone DVD-Player when played.

Try creating an iso-file or Video_TS-files instead with MF 3.0 and burn them with Nero. If you encounter the same problems there, I assume something is wrong with your DVD-Drive or its driver-software.

Are the Burning patches installed already and the fix for 16x Burners ?

No, I don't think so. I am burning to DVD only (Speed=4X).

A complete patch-description can be found here:
