Computer Recommendation

Post by budbon »

I am looking to add a copmuter to my home office to serve as a dedicated photo & video editing computer. I use Paint Shop Pro X2 and Corel Video Studio X3. My three year old Gatewa with 4 meg memory seems to be really slow. I will use it for everything but editing and use a KV switch in order to use same keyboard, mouse and monitor. I would like to stay in the $1000 range. I am looking at the HP Pavilion Elite HPE-180t series. My video editing is mainly for home use and transfering old VHS and Hi8 home videos to DVD so render speed is not overly critical. I would appreciate any suggestions.
