Saving Sound from video- info. required.

Post by alan »

Using Pro X2.

I have downloaded a video file into the edit section of Pro. X2. I now require to select a potion of the music and use it later in another clip.

Is there any simple way I can do this?

In VS 10 once the video clip is in the timeline, you select SHARE then select CREATE SOUND FILE. I'm sure that X2 would be similar.

If you only want a small section Alan then look immediately under the preview screen at the progress bar - at each end you will see a small triangle - using your mouse drag those triangles in from each end to select only the bit you want. A red bar will appear in the timeline showing the selected portion, now when you follow the above instructions and go to 'Share' >> 'Create Sound file' make sure you select the option to produce a sound file from the selected portion only - not the full project. This will save a .wav file in the working folder defined for your project.

Alan - please fill in more of your profile so that it appears at the right like mine - it will help us to help you in any future questions you may have - Thank you
