Burning onto DVD +R DL

Post by wesley_4024 »

I am using Corel Video Studio Pro X2 and i have a project that has a duration of approximately 175 minutes. I purchased a Verbatim 2.4x DVD +R DL DVD which has a storage capacity of 240 minutes, which should hold my project. However, when I went to create the DVD, Corel said that my project exceeded the capacity of my DL DVD.

Can anyone tell me if there is a simple solution to this problem. Prior to purchasing the DL DVD, most sites stated that almost all DVD recorders and players were compatible with this new technology so I don't think it would be my DVD burner. I'm all ears at this point though. I really don't want to have to start removing stuff from my project to make it fit.

Is your burner rated to burn DL's?

Hi wesley_4024

Welcome to the forum

Assuming the answer to Jeff question is yes………

From the burner module, final window--lower left select your DVD type as DVD 8.5 Gb
Easily overlooked……….

If that is not the solution , give us some details of your project and the convert settings under the cogwheel.
Are you adding a video or a project to the burner module?

Oh by the way, just burned my first DL, had to update the firmware before i got a result, two coasters.
