Various screensizes when export to flv

Post by Bezz333 »

I havecaptured two seperate videos on SDHC cards.

I have inserted them into the time line ith the 'close up' shots on the overlay track

I have also insereted some titles too.

Why after I have exported to FLV is the screen changin shape between the overlay track and the normal track and the titles are within the actual video on the overlay track but apear on te outside of the normal track

I am trying to export as 16:9

Can any one assist please?

This is an unusual problem that I've never heard of before so I don't have a fix. FLV formats have always been a bit tricky with Video Studio and I guess it has something to do with updating Quicktime on the PC after installing VS.

Something to try: Instead of exporting directly to FLV try one of the other file formats (WMV, Mpeg2 etc). Check to see all the overlay tracks and titles are working fine and aspect ratio is correct. Start a new project and insert the correct new video in the timeline. Export to FLV and see how you go

Hi,

Maybe try converting the FLV to something that X3 is more abe to cope with like MPG 2 ? See if this works?

Hi

I am using two cameras that are identical so it cant be different resolutions not formats.

I am using Videostudio x3 pro.

I did notice that on the overlay track there is an option to fit to full screen but not on the normal track.

I will try to export to DV then convert to FLV. Any good software to convert out there?

For the main track you must first select the Distort button on the Attribute tab. Once you do that you can then right click clip in the Preview Window for the distort options.

Hi Andrew

Using X2 to convert to flash I use the Custom option.
Edit the template for 16:9 by using 512 x 288 frame size. (user defined)
If you want bigger use 1024 x 576 (that’s also 16:9)

Disable Non Square Pixel rendering under Options, this should sort out the strange frame size of the overlay track, and remove the black bars top and bottom, giving you widescreen 16:9.
