I've been using various versions of PSP since 2003, without problems. I recently migrated from PSP X to PSP X2, and am experiencing the problem noted above -- not every time, but frequently. I have version 12.01 of PSP installed; also Corel PhotoAlbum versions 6.4.0 and 7.00. My normal workflow in PSP is to use the straighten or perspective correction tools first (if needed), then crop as desired, then apply whatever adjustments seem necessary. It's at the second step (when I click on the 'Apply' button) that the program often hangs up. If I try to close the photo, or the program, I get a message that the photo is being processed -- but nothing happens. I have to use Task Manager to close PSP.
After searching these forums and the Knowledgebase, I uninstalled both PSP X and PSP X2, using MSICleanup.exe as suggested in Answer ID 762149; and, since saving files was also sometimes slow, I deleted the database files as suggested in Answer ID 762173. I then reinstalled PSP X2, with the 12.01 update. No improvement.
I'll be grateful for any help you can give me.
