What type of computer would you recommend for making profess
What type of computer would you recommend for making professional dvd's and blu rays? My father recently started making professional dvd's with his canon XL2 camera and now he bought a panasonic hmc 150. He is trying to make HD movies on his computer but he says he is having a hard time making the hd movie because it seems to run really slow and when he puts the video on the computer to edit, it seems to run slow motion and the sound gets ahead of the video. He is making the videos on his HP pavilion a6137c pc,Itel core 2 duo processor E4400, 2048 system memory, 320 gb hard drive. He recently added 1TB hard drvie and he got lg blu ray player too. What computer would you recommend and where could i buy this computer at?

I have moved your post to this more general forum since, as far as I can see, it has nothing to do with Video Studio where you originally posted it.
It also does not help that you have so obviously not made any effort to fill in your profile correctly. Almost inevitably, someone will ask what your current computer specifications are.

Video editing is CPU intensive. I would buy the fastest processor you can afford. RAM is relatively cheap, but not necessarily used in video editing. The CPU is what you want to concern yourself with.

I'd get an i7 processor like this
Intel® Core™ i7-980X processor Extreme Edition
8g ram, win7 64 bit
I'd match it to tomson grass valley edius software and I'd recommend buying it from a guy in Oxford, who builds special pc's with great quality.
