Font Scrolling Gone in X3
In all the previous versions of PSP, I have been able to apply the Text Tool + type in my text + highlight it, then go up to the Font Selection Box and highlight the font that's in the box. After doing both these things I could use my scroll wheel on my mouse or use the arrow keys to scroll down through the fonts and as doing so, it would change the text that i applied to picture. It was the best way to preview a font on my workspace. With X3 I can only scroll down one font before it resets itself and I have to highlight it again.

Re: Font Scrolling Gone in X3
I just tried it and I have the same behavior. A huge step backwards in my opinion.

The loosing of focus when adjusting Font style size etc. Has been noted and reported to Corel. But don't expect changes in the near future.
As for not being able to scroll though font styles. I find that not a problem, as one naturally keep the cursor on the menu

Re: Font Scrolling Gone in X3
IMHO messing with how the text tool worked in PSP X2 was a huge mistake. I've had my "upgrade" all of a day and I'm already aggravated at this. What other surprises await me? C'mon Corel! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Maybe you need to spend your time making legitimate improvements and not changing things we loyal users have gotten used to using. The text tool changes are NOT an improvement!

Re: Font Scrolling Gone in X3
I've been using PSP since version 7 and I can honestly say I really like the new text tool. Granted there are still bugs and things to work out, but nice thing about PSP is they rarely get rid of the old tool. They just tend to hide it.

It worked ok for me without having to highlight it again.

Re: Font Scrolling Gone in X3
Might it make more sense to leave the tools as they were (so that previous and loyal customers who decide to "upgrade" aren't frustrated) and then allow use of the new function to be invoked with a preferences toggle somewhere? (In other words, DON'T make the changes the default).nice thing about PSP is they rarely get rid of the old tool. They just tend to hide it.
When things I've taken years to learn are all of a sudden changed and the way to make them work is "hidden", my reaction is to believe Corel has "broken" the program and my inclination is to stop "upgrading", stick with what I know, and encourage other prospective buyers to do that same.
If Corel insists on making these "changes and upgrades" to their programs, they need a well-documented listing of these as part of the Help menu listed under "What's New."

Re: Font Scrolling Gone in X3
You'll notice in the other post I point you to an actual section labeled "What's New" on the website only.
I will admit the "Shift + Click" shortcut does not appear to be listed. But the fact that it was changed is under a "What's New" section in the PSP help files as well. There is no reason to be caught by surprise if you're paying attention.
