How do I find a post I have book marked?

Post by alanball »

Hi, on the old board I could mark a post to watch the progress and I would get an email to tell me the post had been updated (watch this post). Now I can only fined a way to book mark a post, but how do I find a post I have book marked?

Hi Alan

Not used this option myself, but looks quite useful.
If you go to your User Control Panel there is the option to Manage Bookmarks

Hi Trevor,

thanks for that info, when I went into the User control panel I found all the post's I had book marked over the last few week's :D, it look's as though you only reçeive an email notification when you get a reply to your own post's. It's a nice option to be able to keep or delete book marked post's in the User Control Panel.

Hi Alan

I get notification on all posts I have replied to.

I don’t know if bookmarking a post will generate a notification irrespective to whether I am involved with the post.
Will have to try that out.

To get notifications to your email when a thread you have posted in is updated you have to make sure that the box
"Notify me when a reply is posted" is ticked.

In the User Control Panel there is an option to have this automatically set to on or off

Plus the link I mentioned earlier where you can be notified of other threads that you have not actually posted in.

Thanks Steve,
there are probably a lot of other goodies hidden that I have not noticed or tried out, including all the seleection buttons across the top of the post reply box. One thing I think would have been helpfull , if all the new and updated posts of the day were marked in another colour so that they stood out a bit more. but not complaining it's a great board.

Thanks again

The default style is ProSilver.
You might want to try out the alternative style SubSilver2

Alan -- in my proSilver layout, all the new and updated posts appear with a pink icon. Does yours not have that? Or did you mean they should be marked with a colour other than pink?
