Herein lies the problem.... in VS X3 Pro I have no audio what so ever (except system sounds from within Win 7 or other programs). I preview an audio file... no sound. I scrub the timeline... no sound. If I display the Surround Sound Mixer I see the audio VU meter (sound bars) bouncing as if there was audio playing, I just can't hear it. The preview audio while scrubbing timeline feature is enabled in the preferences. Tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. Added all the patches (boy that is a time killer). Checked all audio settings in Win 7. Audio is completley fine in DVD Factory Pro 2010 (crappy program but nice addition of 3D menus). If I render the video in any format the audio is fine. If I save the project as a VS12 file and open it in VS12 the audio is fine within VS 12 (as it should be in VS X3 Pro).
Can no one help me trouble shoot thi problem? Is anyone else having this problem? Here is a twist... when I initially installed the program (VS X3 Pro) the audio was fine. Don't know where it went wrong or why and can't seem to fix it no matter what I do.
I am so sick of these great advancements we've made in all these years (note sarcasim)... was an original user (back to ver 2.5) of Media Studio Pro and loved that program and what Ulead did with it and us users over the years. I love the power and flexibility of Sony Vegas Pro (kinda reminds me of what I could do with MSP) but I hate the limitations and the user interface. VS has improved over the year but still lacks the support and power that many of us need (as far as I am concerned it is still a kids program or a toy for amatures). God I wish somebody would take the updates that VS has made and combine it with the power of programs like Sony Vegas Pro and give us all the power and intuative user interface that we had with MSP in a single package that works then toss is a modern upgrade to what DVD workshop used to have, and Cool Studio 3D and the interoperability of Ulead Photo Impact UFO files.... sorry, started day dreaming.
