Smart Sound Library CD-Need Some Help
I have made a mess I think...I am kind of new at using my Video Studio X2 and watched a tutorial showing the Auto Music tab and all of the music that is there to use. I watched the tut several times but the "Add to TImeline" option was always greyed out for me. I opened the Smart Tracks tab and looked around and it said the 22k was copied to my drive. I really did not know what that meant but it sounded good. I clicked around some more and still could not get the Add to Timeline to work. I then clicked the Smart Tracks tab again and told it to rebuild my SmartSound database. Well now when I click on a song it shows a box asking for me to put in the "Smart Sound Library CD New Standard 22k". I don't have a CD, just the installation one...what have I done and how can I fix it? Also, the place where it said they were copied to my drive says they are not anymore..
Can somebody help??

Hi
Welcome to the forum
Re-building the library should not do any damage.
Full Spectrum 22k was provided with earlier versions of VS, not sure if it is provided with X2.
From Auto Music change the library to New Spectrum 22k and scope to Owned.
1 / To add a piece of music you must have some video content in a timeline.
2 / The music will be positioned on the curser.
3 / A second clip can be added to a clear timeline not over the first auto music.
Does that work or are there other problems?

If the above suggestions do not work then the next thing you can do is re-install smartsound.
1. From Windows Control Panel remove Smartsound (Programs and features)
2. From your original VideoStudio X2 installation files re-install smartsound.

Re: Smart Sound Library CD-Need Some Help
Thanks so much Steve, that is what I needed to do. Somewhere along the line those files were just gone and they needed to be re-installed. I can use the files now. I appreciate both yours and Trevor's answer. This site is an invaluable resource especially for newbies!
