1. Fill in your computer details in the User Control Panel

2. Provide a LOT more information on your problem.

This is if you require anyone to assist.

erdna/André -- if you have downloaded and installed Movie Factory 7 SE, then yes, you can produce a DVD without a menu...

Thanks Ken. The program does exactly what I needed. I installed X3 just yesterday. VS X2 did for me what I needed, but for the first time I encountered a problem which seems to be solved by X3.One of my HDcamera's is a combocamera (Panasonic GH1), a photocam which is also a wonderfull FullHD machine (high resolution, high DR). It records in 25p (output 50i) and it turns out that X2 cannot create hybrid DVD's which can be played back on a BD player. And when (interlaced?) titles are added, the burning program stops working before even creating a disc. From now on I will stick on X3 I think.

Glad it works for you! With the GH1 Lumix (nice camera!), I assume you were having trouble when you were filming in 1280 x 720i (50i) mode? X2 always seemed to have problems with that format -- and I think Panasonic introduced a new codec format in the Lumix series with that specific format. It is called AVCHD Lite. And yes, X3 seems to be able to handle it.

But I would have thought that if you were filming in full HD mode (1920 x 1080i at 25p), X2 should have been able to handle that, and also produce hybrid discs (I produced quite a few hybrid discs using X2).

Hi Ken, I did some further testing with my GH1 1920x1080/25p ~17mbs footage (not the AVCHD lite codec).
I compared X2vs X3, smart render on and off, straight to burning module, vs AVCHD file first, playback on BD player vs SW player (PowerDVD8 and VCL player).
First thing I noticed is the “rendered” filesize of a single clip” original about 200mb > X3 file 220mb (for both, smart render on and off). X2 rendered filesize 150mb (for both smart render on or off).
Rendering with smart render “on” (with or without added title) results in loss of live audio (no audio). I never got this sound loss with footage from my other FullHD (50i) camcorders, All further testing will be done with SR “off”
Now about creating and playback an AVCHD DVD:
1.From the rendered footage in the burning module: (will report later)
2 Straight to the burning module: (will report later)
P.S.All these results only relate to the Lumix GH1 25p fullHD footage for making hybrid AVCHD DVD’s. No specific problems werefound with X2/X3 when making SDDVD’s from the GH1 footage.
