Applying Multiple Transitions w/ < 1 Sec Duration

Post by DanVM »

I've tried posting this once already but have yet to see it. I'm posting again at the risk of repeating myself...

I would like to make a slide show with a less than 1 second fade transition between each picture. I have hundreds of photos but cannot seem to figure out how to apply the transition between all photos with a duration of less than 1 second. I've seen where you can set the default duration of a transition to 1 second but there is no option to go less than that.

Any ideas are welcome!

Unless you posted under a different name, your first attempt was not accepted or posted. Strange since this is a new version of the web board we've had no such problems.

As for your transition duration issue, VS does not allow for default settings less than 1 sec. So you will need to do this manually..

That's most disappointing as I've used several other non-linear editors that can. Another request for the "wish list"!

Hi,

Most of the transitions have a min of 2 sec to complete. and some have longer.

Tis a matter of selecting the transitions(s) you want and adjusting the time for each.

You can set the default transition time in options.

Knowing what version of VS you are using as well as media type and properties would assist with getting the right answer.

I'm using X3 and I understand how to adjust the duration of a transition. Imagine, however, a set of 200 photographs set up as a slide show. I want a soft transition (I.E. 1/4 second fade) from one slide to the next. In VS X3, you only have the option to add a transition to several "splits" in one move using the DEFAULT transition duration which can only be set in 1 second intervals. I've used several competing products that have no trouble doing this. I only hope Corel doesn't overlook this in the future.
