I'm new to PSP, and in fact new to image manipulation. This new computer came from HP with Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 installed. What I can not figure out how to do with it is perform operations across multiple files. I have a few hundred image files from digital cameras, all in 4 x 3 format. What I need to do is rotate all images 90° (to change to 3 x 4 format) and resize all images to be 240 x 320 pixels.
If somebody can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.
How can I perform batch operations with PSPPX2?

Re: How can I perform batch operations with PSPPX2?
That's easy. First you need a script to do the rotation and resizing.
First make sure your script toolbar is open. Go to the View menu select Toolbars->script
It should look like this

Now open one of the images. Hit the red record button on the script toolbar. Paint Shop Pro is now recording your actions. Go ahead and rotate the image 90 degrees. You can either go to the Image menu and select Rotate Right or Rotate Left from there or you can hit one of the two rotate buttons on the standard toolbar.
After that go to Image->resize to resize your image.
Make sure that the Advanced Settings and Resample check boxes are checked. These are necessary to resize the image. Make sure the pixel dimensions are set to 240x320 and that the method is set to pixels not percent.

Accept the change then hit the save script button on the script toolbar. It'll ask you for a name for the script, give it a name you can identify easily as you'll be using it on the other images.
Now to do the actual Batch Processing.
You can then open up the batch process dialog. File->BatchProcess...
In this dialog you can grab all of the images you want to process, the file format you want them saved as. And the script you want to use on each image.

Just turn on script usage and select the script you want to use, which is the script you created. And if all goes well all of the images you select into this dialog will be rotated 90 degrees and be resized to 240x320.
