Help..... what have i done wrong....

Post by ianh »

Just got my head round Vstudio Pro X2 on my laptop

I have just edited some short clips for partner -- from sony DV8 camera

each clip is one or two minutes long in one take and then just has simple title added.

i then rendered them as a Pal DV 4:3 and exported them back to partners laptop.

viewing under Windoze Media Player there seems to be a audio sync problem with a picture delay of between one and two seconds?

what have i done wrong.... slightly embarrassing as the vids are showing clicker training animals and timing is essential..

If you started with DV/AVI and were rendering back to DV/AVI, then you probably had SmartRender enabled. That has been known to cause problems on some computers (though not all). The simple remedy is usually to disable SmartRender. (When you choose Share > Create Video Disc > AVI, click on the Options button and untick the Enable SmartRender box). This will take much longer, but there should not be any noticeable loss of quality since DV/AVI is largely a lossless format.
