Hi
I am now running Win 7 64 bit with Pro X3 - when authoring I am struggling to find how to NOT have a menu and to have the video loop? This is quite urgent so an early response would be greatly appreciated.

Use the replacement authoring tool DVD MovieFactory 7SE, do not use the original DVD Factory Pro 2010.

The full MF7 Pro does a number of other things, apart from the authoring function which is essentially what the SE version has been stripped down to.
Note that you can access both the Pro and SE versions of MF 7 now in the Tools menu of X3. Even though the new button, which appears with the newly released update patches, is labelled MF 7 SE, it also starts MF 7 Pro if you have it installed.
