2 problems.
I have had VS X3 on my Vista 64-bit machine for 6 months. I have made a dozen or so movies with a few, but not too many issues.
Recently I have encountered 2 problems.
1 - when I drag clips into the timeline and then use the slider to pinpoint a frame to work on - it seems to randomly freeze and then crash. Any ideas?
2 - when previewing (or just normal working) on a short video - I get a message that I have a fatal error that has created a .DMP file that I should send to Corel. The program locks and I have to use windows to shut it down.

The program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning. Please contact Corel Technical Support and send the dump file for analysis.

Any ideas?
I use .MOV files from GoProd Hero HD.
I did not have these problems for the 1st 6 months.

It could be that your video files have become corrupted.
Could you please correct the entries on your profile page relating to
motherboard
processor
video card.
Thank you

Re: VS X3 Keeps crashing
I updated my profile best I know.
I eventually did manage to make a short video so I do not think it's corrupt content. The raw files play fine in Quicktime.
It is also the same source camera as I've used previously.
Any other thoughts? Could it be something that was released in a recent Quicktime version??

That is quite possible as newer versions of QT has caused problems in the past.scblur03 wrote:I updated my profile best I know.

I would reinstall the older version to see if it cures your problem

I also experience same problem. I looks like Video Studio X3 does nto competible with the latest version of Quick Time. (I think it work with old version of Quick Time).trevor andrew wrote:That is quite possible as newer versions of QT has caused problems in the past.scblur03 wrote:I updated my profile best I know.

I unstall the Quick Time, and then install Quick Time Alternative 3.1.1 and the problem get resolved. I can render MOV file successfully.
