I use X2 for my work and all of a sudden it is crashing when I make a selection, copy then paste into selection it just freezes up and I have to go tot aks manager and processes to end it and close it. It worked fine until recently.
I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it I even formatted and reinstalled windows, still the problem remains. It wont even work in safe mode.

Please, please help, I need this program for my work!

After re-installing X2 did you install X2 update?

Is selection, copy/paste, the only thing not working?

No other computer problems?

Have you just recently upgraded to Vista?

There is most likely a conflict of some sort, though it's a little puzzling that after a reinstall of the OS you still have the issue. If a device driver somehow got corrupted, or worse had an update that introduced some incompatibility, that could be the root cause.

Make the problem occur, and upon reboot examine the event logs immediately. If you don't know how, this page explains it....
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... ent-Viewer

There could be warning messages that are relatively meaningless, but if you see any actual error message (you should, if the system crashed), the message contents should clue you in on what the problem is. Video drivers can cause this kind of issue, and so can antivirus software. The event logs should reveal the culprit to you.

Good luck with it.
