WINDVD 8 Gold Install Error

Post by abradaxis »

I installed WINDVD 8 Gold on two of my computers, and the install worked fine, and the program performed great afterwards. Then I moved locations from Florida to NY, and when I now try to install it at the end of each installation, the install launches an install of Corel's Paint Shop Pro X. The only way to stop this bogus install is to kill it with task manager. WINDVD 8 will then launch, but always gives me the error message "YOUR DISPLAY ENVIRONMENT DOES NOT SUPPORT PROTECTED CONTENT PLAYBACK" even though I am playing standard DVDs. I submitted a topic on this as well, but I don't know if the message is because of the bad install or some glitch in my system, which previously flawlessly played these same DVDs under WINDVD5. Thanks in advance for any help.

What is the name of the installer you used to install WinDVD 8 Gold?

What is the model of the monitor you are using and how is it connected to the system?

How many Monitors or display devices (e.g. TV or Projector) to you have connected to the system?
