Safe to use provided audio files on YouTube

Post by kd5om »

OK, I just spent the past hour searching this forum hoping to find my answer. I took a close look at the help file titled: "Working with Audio". I know You Tube takes this very seriously and that is using copyrighted material on any videos uploaded to You Tube. I take this very seriously too for in my day job I create Intellectual Property and in the past I had to send the legal department after a few perpetrators.

I search the Web and found several very confusing articles regarding the subject.

So Is the provided sound tracks that were installed with Video Studio Pro X3 totally safe to use in my "just for the fun of it" You Tube Videos? What would be my limitations using these sound tracks? I would ask the legal department but they make more loot than I do. :?

In addition, please share with me what you might have discovered as suitable music tracks I can even buy to include in the masterpieces.

When you add AutoMusic in VS x3 one of the categories is "Owned Titles". This would indicate that the licenced holder of the Corel software can use those music clips wherever they wish. Or that's my interpretation.
