How To Fade into and out of a title
I've figured out how to fade in and fade out of a project and how to fade out/fade in between video clips, but I have a title in the title track on the timeline and am having trouble figuring out how to have the title text fade in and then fade out intead of just popping on to the screen. I've got the same issue w/background music; having it fade up to a specific volume and fade out to silence.

You don't say what version you are using, so I'll assume X3. With your title selected in the Preview Window, click on the Attribute tab. Put a check in the Apply box to apply the animation, then choose which animation you want from the drop-down menu. Click on the "TT" to customize the attributes of the animation.

Re: How To Fade into and out of a title
I've followed your instructions and with the apply box checked and the drop down set to fade, I can't figure out how to apply the attribute. I tried dragging the fade attribute box to the title line, but that didn't work.

Re: How To Fade into and out of a title
Thank you. Your instructions worked perfectly to both fade in and fade out the title. Just didn't realize that once both the animations were highlighted that x3 would automatically apply the appropriate animation at the beginning and end of the title.

Re: How To Fade into and out of a title
Oops! I thought I had it, but just observed on playback that I can either have a fade in at the beginning of the title OR a fade out at the end, but am unable to get BOTH the fade in atthe beginning and the fade out at the end.

Re: How To Fade into and out of a title
The fade animation has 3 choices - Fade In, Fade Out, and Crossfade, which is both.

Might need a bit more RAM and HDD space ?aljretired wrote:That did it.

I don't think 4MB RAM and 500MB HDD will be very useful?

I think aljretired that Accolades is trying to point out that there appears to be an error in your profile - surely you mean 4GB (not MB) RAM and 500GB (not MB) of HDD - could you confirm/correct your profile please.
