VS Pro X3 does not work

I am using Video Studio from V6 and bougth X3 and installed in the PC using Vista 32 bit Ultimate.
When I tried to make a Video FIle the program stops on the way. When I try to use DVD Factory it hangs.
So I sent some dump files to Corel Customer support and they said this is a Technical problem and please contact
Technical support where I could not find an e-mail address of them.

I exchange the OS drive with a XP Pro SP3 drive and used the same hardware and it works in the same computer without
any problems - I can make Video files and write to disk using the DVD Factory.

Can anybody help me to find why Pro X3 does not work in Vista Ultimate. All the other programs works well in Vista.
The Dump files are attached.


GA P35 DS3R motherboard, 500GB HD, 4GB memory, nVidia 8600GT video card. SB Xtream audio card.

We will need a little further information to be able to help you (hopefully! ) First, what are the properties of the video files you are having difficulty with -- right click on one of them inside VS -- either in the timeline or library window and copy all its Properties here please. And can you also tell us where the clips came from, how you got them onto your computer and what you are trying to do with them.

Hi Ken,

In Vista I started a project with mpeg4 clips and mpeg2 clips. After finishing editing I tried to make a Video file
for NTSC DVD 16:9. But when the rendering came to somewhere in the mpeg2 area it stopped and collected the
dump files as per attached. My original clips are in 2nd Drive D and my proxy files are in a folder in 3rd Drive F.

Then I removed the Drive C and put a new HD with XP Pro SP3 and load the same project and made a Video file
for NTSC DVD 16:9. Everything was OK and with the file I made a DVD disk using DVD Factory and it was OK.

After that I removed the XP Pro Drive C and put the Vista Ultimate Drive C and try to make a DVD using the
erlier Video file and DVD Factory does not work and hangs when I try to press go to menu editing button.

Vista Ultimate has all the updates and I uninstalled VS Pro X3 and re-installed and tryied to make a DVD disk
using DVD Factory and it still hangs.
