OK, so I learned not to rely on tracks 2 and 3, as if they are not really there. So, I have just finished my first serious show since purchasing the upgrade to X3 and I realized I forgot two photos that were really important. So I used the Ripple Editing feature. I locked all tracks except the music. I had used two title tracks for several captions, intros and credits, and narration and music tracks. I inserted the two photos and I checked the end to see if all lined up. I had to extend the music to the new end and the credit titles were there as expected.
Then I burned it. Watched the result. I was amazed to find that 90% of the title entries were gone while the remaining ones were at the end that was displayed, therefore concluding all was OK. This had happened before in X2 and prior versions. There is no way to 'undo" this, so I had to spend hours re-inserting all the captions and titles.
What is going on?
Is this yet another feature that is a nice idea but should be avoided because VideoStudio "is really only a good video editing software," as you said earlier?
Do we have a tech support that can respond to this, or are you the only avenue on these matters?

Unless you can re-create the problem you had it will be very difficult to offer an explanation. Because you didn't check the entire project before reburning it's impossible to say if it was a Ripple Editing issue, burning issue, etc.Do we have a tech support that can respond to this, or are you the only avenue on these matters?

Re: Create Backup DVD files .iso with new DVD Factory?
There is no doubt that it a Ripple Editing issue. It's happened before, in this version and prior ones. I just have a lapse in memory and make that mistake again. I keep hoping that later versions fix it, much like reducing the number of crashes as later versions came out.
Usually a few steps lafter the ripple editing I realize I've lost many (sometimes not all) additions in those tracks. And it is difficult when you have a half hour of many photos, titles, captions, narrations, etc. - you don't notice it until a large number are removed. What is too bad is that I've saved the subsequent changes and there is no undo for it, causing me to have to re-enter all my work. It seems like it works OK if I don't lock all the tracks, or it happens when the message says that I will lose (something that does not seem to matter) some changess under Ripple editing, and later I realize that it was a lot in another track that mattered a lot. I suppose it's connected to the same problem that I have with tracks 2 and 3 of the music tracks. Nothing ever stays put in those tracks, no matter how often I do it and save the additions, and I've given up using them - the only reason I bought the X3 upgrade.
Nobody seems to agree the problem exists or has an idea how to capture it to diagnose it.
