Truncated Video Files
I downloaded an avi from megaupload of a tv show to make into a music video. When I downloaded it, it was truncated, but I installed codecs and now it works fine in my windows media player, however is its still truncated on the video editor. I cant see the whole video when I try to edit, it ends abruptly. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Re: Truncated Video Files
Welcome to the forums!!
Unfortunately there are many video formats which use the .avi extension, so we have no real idea what we are dealing with here. Please right click on one of the .avi files *inside* Video Studio -- either in the library window or timeline -- and copy ALL its properties, video and audio, here please.
Please also tell us what codecs you installed. If it was a codec mega pack, they often cause more problems than they are worth if you installed the whole thing. Sometimes codecs in them cause conflicts with codecs installed by other programs, like Video Studio...

Re: Truncated Video Files
Okay, thanks
File size: 360,382 KB
Frame Rate: 25 frames/sec
Duration 662/6 seconds (should be just under 45 minutes)
Data rate: 537/03 kbps
Video
Compression: Mpeg4s Decoder DMO
Attributes: 24 Bits, 640x352
Total frames: 16565
Audio
Compression:MPEG Layer-3
Attributes 48.000 kHz, 16 bits, Stereo
Total Samples: 138753792
Is that what you needed to know? Most of that means nothing to me. The file is working fine on windows live movie maker, but I don't like the way the program is set up as much.
