Still without "DO MORE" tab

Post by Adler »

I post to corel support about my "DO MORE" i posted here before (topic: dvd factory). and i got this answar:

To troubleshoot this issue, you may try to the following:

A. Manually VideoStudio Pro X3

1. Download and install the Microsoft Windows Clean Up utility. This will remove all registry keys associated with the VideoStudio Pro X3 install process:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;290301

2. Run the Windows Clean Up utility; Click Start >> Programs >> Windows Install Clean Up. Highlight VideoStudio Pro X3 from the list of products. Click Remove. Click Exit when done.

If an error occurs after clicking the remove button, just click Ok to ignore and exit the utility.

3. Delete the following folders/directories:

C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X3\
On Windows XP:
• C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\application data\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\13.0
On Windows Vista:
• C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\13.0
4. Go to Start >> Run and then type: regedit
6. Hit "OK" to launch Regedit window.
7. Go to "My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro"; delete the folder "13.0"
8. Go to "My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro"; delete the folder "13.0"
9. Close the Regedit.
10. Clean up temporary files and Recycle Bin by launching the Disk Cleanup from Start menu >> Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> Disk Cleanup.

B. Redownload and save the installer to your desktop to prevent data corruption

C. Reinstall VideoStudio X3

well.. first in the clean up utility i don't have "video studio proX3" but those: "IPM_VS_Pro[13.0]" , "VIO[1.6.0.367]"," VSClassic[1.6.0.367]", "VSPro[1.6.0.367] " what sould i remove? all of them?!
second, i don't found the path like this: \Documents and Settings\[username]\application data\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\13.0 but like this: \Users\[username]\my documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\Corel VideoStudio Pro\13.0.. I'm using windows 7 home premium and i don't find the AppData folder..
Third, There was no "Ulead System" folder in My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
and last, what redownload?! the first link i got in mail or to start again the VSX3_Pro_PF.exe that downloded already?!

Thanks for your help I really need it...

Hi,

Do a search for clean install of X3.

Several other messages are related to this subject.

Why are you trying to uninstall/reinstall? Did you wait the 'standard' three days before using the get more tab?

Have you adjusted your firewall settings?

The "New" DVD Factory - the one we have all had issues with - does have some pretty fancy menus and I especially like the one with the thumbnail hanging from a washing line
:D
However...... they are constructed in a completely different way to the previously tried and trusted DVD Menus found in all prior versions of VideoStudio, MovieFactory, DVD & CD Picture Show and DVD Workshop. As such they cannot be used in any of those programs.
