Post by jch02140 »

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to trim the size of multiple videos and put them together via VideoStudio?

I have attached an image which might have explain thing a bit better...

Welcome to the forums!

But I have to say I am almost waiting for the trick question!!! What do you think a video editing program like Video Studio is for unless it is to join a lot of disparate videos (and photos) into a single new video? You do your edits after you place your various videos in the timeline. When you have finished editing, adding background music, voiceovers, transitions etc, you choose Share > Create Video File and then choose an output format. But then all your videos will become one.

If you told us some more about where your videos come from and exactly what you are trying to produce, we could give you some more tips...

From your diagram I assume you want to do a split screen effect? Please read: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=8894

;) I's say cutting & splicing are the most basic of audio/video video editing tasks. When "splicing", you can easily add a transition effect such as a simple crossfade (where one video fades-out and another fades-in at the same time) or any number of special-effect transitions. Or, you can fade-to-black betwen scenes, etc.

Take a look at the editing part of your help files/user manual.

Or, of course, you can just butt them together to make an instant change from one clip to the next. Very frequently done in commercial films especially when there is a conversation going on and the clip swops between one person and the other!
