I have VideoStudio Pro X2.
If my stats arent on here i have a 64 bit, vista premium system with all of the average stats, like video and sound card, ask for specifics if you need them.
So my main problem is burning or rendering projects, it's 3 separate projects, which will eventually turn into one project in the end.
I go to burn (or create video file, I've tried every format) and it start to burn or render. Then at different percents each time a windows pop up comes up and says something like 'something in corel stopped the program from working, close program'
I have taken every bit of sound out and it still doesn't burn or render.
All of the videos are in the same format. MOV i beleive but im not sure. I'm using a JVC HDD 30GB camera.
I have no idea what to do, i've called corel multiple times and they just want to charge me, and they cant even think of anything. Anyone having similar problems?
If you need any info or have any questions please ask! im willing to do lots for this answer, i've put in tens of hours into these projects.

Re: VideoStudio Pro X2 Burn/Render Problems
There are quite a few other users with a similar problem, and it all seems to come down to the fact that VS seems to have difficulty with the .mov format. The only solution seems to be to use a third party program (such as the free SUPER) to convert the MOV files to something else appropriate to what you are wanting to produce. So if, say, you are aiming to produce a DVD, then you would convert them to DVD-compatible mpeg-2s.

Re: VideoStudio Pro X2 Burn/Render Problems
Are you sure your hard drive capacity is 38gb?
Lack of space could be the problem, you need at least twice as much space as the movie is going to be for temp files and windows to work.
A one hour video at 13gb per hour in avi format would require approx 30gb of free space on your hard drive.

No, it's 360GB hardrive, thats a typo. Thanks guys! Is there a way for me to batch convert the videos and still have them be edited and cut the way they are in the timeline? or do i have to restart?

Re: VideoStudio Pro X2 Burn/Render Problems
Hi MPHS :
I am working on Corel VS X2 and with Vista Home Premium.
I can capture, edit a 12 minutes of H.264 video clips from my Samsung camera.
However, when I tried to burn and playback on my PC/DVD player, it fails.
This is what I did :
I selected SHARE --> Create Disc --> DVD.
On the SETTING & OPTION menu, I selected TV system to be PAL.
On the Project setting, it shown
MPEG2
24bits
DVD-PAL 4:3
It went on to render and burn successfully.
But I can not play back on my PC or DVD player.
Your advice is highly appreciated.
Many thanks.

Re: VideoStudio Pro X2 Burn/Render Problems
Tools menu>Batch Convert. If you have saved your project files (VSP), then just add them to the conversion. If you have already rendered your projects, then just add the rendered video files.mphs wrote:No, it's 360GB hardrive, thats a typo. Thanks guys!
