Re: X3 not giving back memory
The only way I can replicate this problem is with Vector layers being involved and trying to copy multiple layers. Is this what everyone else is seeing as well?
Regards, Dan

Re: X3 not giving back memory
Hi Dan,
No, I'm getting it using only raster layers. Mostly when I try a "save as" but also when I hit "merge all", and in a few other instances also.
And it's happening with as few as three layers. As a matter of fact last night it gave me the "not enough memory", on a crop, granted it was a very large file. ( I sometimes print very large, so the "or work on a smaller document" is not an option)

Yes but in all fairness, you shouldn't have to do all of these things. Admittedly PSP is vastly cheaper than Photoshop, but even so, the program should not need to be closed and restarted for you to manipulate your images.

Re: X3 not giving back memory
The original method to reproduce I posted way back upthread (repeatedly working on a number of large uncompressed files) still applies. FWIW then Corel did also manage to reproduce the problem themselves but just haven't fixed it yet. Which is annoying as I think there have been 3 service packs since it was logged (the first one was very close to release when it was acknowledged).df wrote:The only way I can replicate this problem is with Vector layers being involved and trying to copy multiple layers. Indeed, especially when this is not an issue in the previous version (X2).JONE5 wrote:Yes but in all fairness, you shouldn't have to do all of these things. Re: X3 not giving back memory
Looks like the folks at Shutterbug, had a problem too, "a message appeared saying the program was out of memory. After a reboot..." Good PR there! Again I say, I love PSP, but not so much a fan of Corel!
