Hi. I'm running VideoStudio 10.0 on Windows 7. I've successfully imported video content from a DV camcorder, and I'm trying to turn this into a DVD, and I've hit a problem.
When I click 'Tools>Create Disc', I'm presented with a new screen which allows me to add/edit chapters, etc. I've successfully added 12 chapters, but this screen seems like a dead end. There is no 'next' or 'ok' option to move me onto the next step in the sequence.
I've used VideoStudio on 18 previous occasions in the last 2 or 3 years, to complete exactly this same task - so either I'm going mad (user error), or the software is letting me down (strange bug). This is the first time I've used VideoStudio since upgrading the laptop from Vista to Windows 7. Don't know if this is pertinent. I'm sure it wasn't as difficult as this the previous 18 times! Any help appreciated.

Re: Create Disc Problem with VideoStudio 10 on Windows 7
The simple answer is that VS10 is not compatible with Windows 7. It was only compatible with Vista by applying a patch. But none is going to be provided for Windows 7. All I can suggest is that you download the trial version of X3 and see if it does what you want...
I am, however, a little puzzled. From memory, the Create Disc command is under Share, not Tools in VS 10...?

Hi Ken
There is an option to Create Disc from the ‘tools’ menu that takes you to the burner module, same as Share-Create Disc.
I think its cos it is a new window like the DV to DVD or Movie Wizard.

Although VS 10 is not supported by W7, you seem to have managed to get this far.
Try using Alt-N to navigate to next screen.
Alt-B to go back.

Same Problem. Were you able to use your *.VSP file that you created for your project in Video Studio 10 in the trialware Video Studio Pro X3?
If not, did you find ANY software that would let you convert to a DVD - create/burn a disc the project that you had invested so much time in - creating the project in Video Studio 10?

Re: Create Disc Problem with VideoStudio 10 on Windows 7
Thanks Trevor. Great suggestion - the Alt+N trick worked a treat, moving me onto the next step in the sequence, and again on beyond that to the final step in the sequence. Looks like the next/back buttons vanish when using VS10 on Windows 7, but this works around it. I'm now in the process of burning the completed project to a DVD.

Hi Jim
As Jeff said you should be able to open VSP’s created with earlier versions of VS with later versions.
Backward compatibility is also available when saving a VSP, but only back a few versions.
File-Save As
view the Save as Type.
Jim I notice you have posted your e-mail details, not a good idea as you may get a lot more junk mail.
I think you may be best to use the Private Message system available on the forum
