PSPPX3 - Stroke Width on a rectangle skips sizes

Post by markcrisell »

Hi,

Aim: Create an rectangle with 2 pixel border.

Action: Use rectangle tool to create a new vector object.

Turn off anti-alias .

Set FILL and STROKE to different colours.

Start adjusting the stroke width starting from 1 and going to 2 then it results in a border width of 3 (measure it and you will see).

Now if you increase the stroke width you will see it seems to skip even sizes? i.e. Pick 2 and it goes to 3, pick 4 and it goes to 5...

Works that way for me too - only the even number line sizes increase by one.

Appreciate you clarifying this Larry.

I'm inclined to say it's a bug. Is there a way of reporting such bugs to Corel?

To report a bug to Corel, use the "Contact Support" link at http://corel.custhelp.com/.

This has been a bug in PSP since the major re-write of PSP 8. It has been complained about many times and never fixed.

Thanks Tim.

I did have a good search for this being a known bug before I originally posted, but no matter I will add my name to their list of complainers!!

Thanks Mark. It's worth complaining... there seems to be a strong correlation between the number of complaints and the likelihood of a fix. Unfortunately Corel's record of fixing bugs in the non-photographic sections of PSP is woeful.
