I'm using VideoStudio pro X3 version 13.6.0.367. When I click to share my video it starts rendering and then at either 18% or 35-37% it stops and gives me this error "The program has encountered a specified error and stopped.... and I am told to contact tech support to send a dump file and a long code is given." Then the program shuts down. What doesnt make sense is that I've rendered this EXACT file yesterday and rendered it as the same kind of file (WMV HD 1080 30p). The only thing i changed when i rendered it this time was a typo in one of my titles in the video. I've tried rendering other projects and it works fine. But every time I do this one, it gives me this error. I'm about to throw my computer out the window, because I have a deadline that needs to be met for this project.
I have already updated my directx to the newest version.
The source files of the video are all mpeg's, wav and mp3 files.
Project properties:
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
MPEG files
24 bits, 1440 x 1080, 29.97 fps
Upper Field First
(MPEG-2), 16:9
Video data rate: 25000 kbps
Audio data rate: 384 kbps
MPEG audio layer 2, 48 KHz, Stereo
And like I said, i'm sharing as a WMV HD 1080 30p.
What really drives me crazy is that I had no problem rendering this file the EXACT SAME WAY yesterday. And now it won't work. I've restarted and tried it numerous times.

Re: Rendering Error with VSx3
All I can suggest is that you first render the project with exactly the same HDV properties as the original. Then render that new single file to WMV. That way you should not lose any visible quality. But if you have the same problem, then obviously something in your project has become corrupt.

Re: Rendering Error with VSx3
It won't let me render this file in any format. I've tried different sharing options (DVD, same as first video clip, WMV) and it still gives me the error.

Re: Rendering Error with VSx3
Sounds like a corruption somewhere in your project. I would start with a blank slate and add your clips, effects, etc. one at a time, rendering each time until you find the offender.
